Energise my skin

My skin looked dull and dehydrated after all the night work during January, and I have been looking for an eye cream and toner desperately as I believe a good toner does make different to your skin. One of my favourite toner was Shu Uemura, it hydrated my skin instantly and when I 'bounced' my skin it gave me that re-bouncy effect. =] However, they have discontinue the product. After that I tried loads of other toner, L'Oreal, Vincy, some Japanese brand, Liz Earle, Bobbi Brown, Shiseido, Lancome, Clinique, SKII,  Estee Lauder...........
I went to Boots the other day, and approached Origins counter they have different types of toner for you to try and also the beauty advisor was very nice and polite. Previously I would like to try the Purify Tonic and Mega-Mushroom Skin Relief as I heard quiet a lots of reviews about the mega-mushroom product line, but she suggested the Make A Difference toner would be best for me as it hydrates the skin.  So far I have used it only for a week, but I have falling in love with it, I could really feel it 'boot up' my skin, felt like the toner is swimming around in my skin cell to give my skin hydration haha...
I also bought the Gin Zing eye cream because my eyes puff in the morning quiet often, again only used for a week. It is kinda in those OK~~ So So band. Will try them out for a longer time and give a review later.

I went to look for a face massage cream yesterday, as I used one before by Shiseido and I loved it however it is quiet expensive to get it in UK and I would like to try another brand.  I went to Dior firstly as I know they do one, unfortunately the sale told me they don't sale it in UK =[ At that moment I saw SUQQU, although I never heard of this brand but from the poster they display and the package I instantly knew it is an asian brand (but not too sure is it Japanese or Korean) so I went to the counter and asked would they have any face massage cream. The sale told me THEY HAVE and they are having a promotion which you could have a full size of  face massage cream and travelling set of Milky Cleaner, Cleaning foam and a toner. The face massage cream is a limited edition not just the packaging but the smell of the cream is different as well (like a flower smell).  So far I only used twice of the face massage cream, compare with the Shiseido texture wise it is slightly thicker but it doesn't have those stickiness feel after you wash your face. The beauty advisor taught me how to do the face massage also enclosed a Massage method leaflet for me, so I could follow it step by step once I got back home. Thank you =]

Hope you guys have a nice January a new start of 2012!

Review on Eve Lom and Liz Earle Cleanser

a set as well: Cleanser +  TLC cream + rescue mask (I LOVE THIS MASK) + muslin cloth = ~70-80pounds.

It is a set I bought before x'mas,  100ml hot cloth cleanser + 30ml toner + a muslin cloth = 15pounds

I have used those 2 products for nearly a year now, decided to use them alternatively after one is finished and so far I am happy with them. I guess many people have heard this two brand before, but here is just some of my review of them. (They are 100% honest, and its just how I feel after using them but doesn't mean same as what everybody)

EVE LOM CLEANSER: It is a cleaning balm, I usually take a small amount on my hands and gently massage it on my face for 2 minutes and rise a muslin cloth with hot water (not boiling water, a hotness that you could manage to hold the cloth)and cover it on top of my face for 5 seconds, and wash the cloth with hot water and gently clean my face (be gentle!!) swipe the make up off and repeat this step 3-4 times with cold water.
using the muslin cloth to clean my face could gently exfoliate my face daily, especially area my nose area .
although not many people like the smell and texture of Eve Lom as it is quiet oily, but I do like the smell of it, it gives me refreshment every time I cover it on my face. The oily texture aren't too bad, might be a little bit when you first apply it, but once you massage it around your face you will find its advantages. Because it could also work as a massage oil which gives you 'smoothness' to allow you to massage your whole face, taking away the detox in your face and allow it to be more lift and firm. Massage do loads of good to your face and body, give you glow and healthier skin.  ( will write it in detail in future).
I could feel there were load of 'lumps' around my chin area before, that means lymphs were trapped but as I do facial massage everyday while I cleanse my face , now it has less 'lumps' and feel much better, it means less trapped lymphs and slimmer face.
I slightly dislike the packaging as it is in a bottle so I have to use my finger to take the cleanser out, not very hygienic, so I use a facial spectula instead.

Liz Earle:  It is more likely a rich creamy texture and it is a pump packaging (150ml), it is more hygienic and easier to use compare with the Eve Lom. However as its a creamy texture so it absorbs quiet quickly so it is hard to do some massage for the skin due to the friction ( which is not good for your skin). So I only focus on one area each day to do the massage, if not there isn't 'enough time'. >.<
The smell of the Liz Earle is like botanic flower smell, I love it very much.

I do suggest to use the Liz Earle in summer time whereas the Eve Lom in winter, as Eve Lom gives more moisture to the skin, I did use Eve Lom in summer but sometime it might feel a bit too heavy.
I personally think both products have similar concept which uses balm or cream to massage on face and use muslin cloth to clean it, but obviously they leaves with different effect. I used to use cleaning oil, but every time I washed my face always make a mess, and now I don't because no need to splash water to my face and keep the tap running. I love their concept, hope you will do too.

For people who never try this cleaning concept I do suggest that they could try Liz Earle first as they have it in small size (50ml) and it is more affordable price, because it is a bit pricey for Eve Lom cleanser.

Take care and Good Luck.
