Japanese Style Chicken Rice

Eggplant dumplings

A Japanese restaurant near Peninsula Centre, Mody Road. In general food is satisfactory, normally I am not a big fan of eggplant, but surprisingly this eggplant dumplings did give me surprise. Firstly, I thought its a tempura but once I bite it in half, it is surprisingly delicious, the eggplant is not soggy nor oily at all.

Grand Central Bar & Grill , Elements . Happy hour with friends. Massive portion. Nice french fries and nice place to chill with friends. 

I would prefer to sit on the sofa instead of stool, especially if you are not very good at drinking be careful of sitting on the stool.

Chicken Congee ( 沙鍋雞粥)

Supreme Soy Sauce Fried Noodles (豉油皇炒麵)

Dinner after movie - Captain Phillips, great movie have to watch it. I wanted something not too heavy so I decided to have congee. I always want to explore those little shops/restaurants near Austin station, this time I picked a Chinese restaurant which does congee, Supreme Soy Sauce Fried Noodles (豉油皇炒麵) and Rice Roll / Changfen (腸粉).
I love their Changfen (腸粉), it is very thin yet it 'can holds' a lot of ingredients inside. 
The base of the congee is very soft. We had ordered chicken congee, the chicken is very tender and full of flavor. 
I also ordered a dish of Chicken Wings in Swiss Sauce (瑞士汁雞翅), don't get it wrong by its name. It is nothing related to Swiss at all, it is a dish of "sweetened soy sauce chicken wings". It is not difficult to cook, BUT I would not say it is EASY either. As everybody has different taste of sweetness, it is hard to find a sauce that suit you perfectly. For example, everybody has different taste of coffee, some like bitter some like sweet, some like black some like flat. But one ground rule - could not use expire / deteriorate coffee beans. 

My first China Road Trip : Sanya 三亞自駕之旅 - Part two

一到步我們決定要先醫肚。計劃行程既時候，剛剛有個電視節目介紹間新疆美食, 看起來好吸引
所以我們決定到達海口時, 一定要去食。
當然電視上美麗而吸引既畫面同真實係有少少出入, 雖然唔係每道都係美味佳餚但整體上是滿意，如果你喜歡很多很多辣椒個種辣既話咁可以一試，
直得一提:餐廳既洗手間環境不錯很清潔 ，(常去中國的朋友會知道，很少在中國找到一個像樣的廁所) 
食飽飽後我們出發去三亞！

大約3.5小時的車程後，終於到達酒店 - Mandarin Oriental Hotel Sanya 。
雙腳一步出車, 我覺得唔似來到中國咁似泰國、峇里島的地方。
我們未來幾日會住係Ocean View Pool Villa 觀海別墅, 完成所有check-in手續後
我迫不及待參觀別墅, 別墅總共有兩層。

上層是一個主人套室當然不少得一個迷人海景，當你訓上床時個海係係你既水平線。
又或者可以坐係露台上 L-shape梳發度放鬆和享受一下。
去到浴室一個超大按摩浴池等緊你, 可以一邊享受浸浴一邊睇日落, 
或者簡強力熱帶雨林式花灑既淋浴間都得，隨你喜歡 任君選擇。
去到樓下有一個客廳同一間雙人房，房有度門可以通去花園同泳池。

經過十多小時的車程, 大家都精疲力竭，我們決定去餐廳食飯前沖返個靚涼同嘆一嘆個Tea
先去之前預訂咗既 FRESH食晚餐。

We decided to have some lunch before we set off to Sanya. When we planned the trip, we saw there was a recommendation of a Xinjiang cuisine by a TV program, the restaurant ( in the video) looks decent and yummy so we decided to make a reservation.

The food and the environment(especially the washroom, I know it sounds strange, but it is very rarely and important to find a decent washroom in China) of the restaurant overall is satisfied, I wouldn’t highly recommend but on the other hand, they have few quite delicious dishes. After all of us had been filled by Xinjian food, we were all ready to set of to Sanya! It took us around 3.5 hours drive to the resort. Once we stepped out of the car, it looks a completely different world, I felt like I am not in China at all.

The room we booked was Ocean View Pool Villa, so the staff took us to the Cliff Lounge for checked out and shows around. Once I stepped into my Villa, I couldn’t wait my trip to start.

There are two floors of the Villa, the upper floor is a master bedroom with a stunning sea view, if you lay down on the extra extra king size bed, and the sea is parallel to your eye level. Get down of the bed, there is a balcony with 2 L-shape comfy sofa that allows you to sit there to relax and enjoy the view. Also, you could go to the bathroom and have a comforting bubble bath in a oversized jetted bath or powerful rainforest shower.

Downstairs, has a double bedroom, a reasonable size living room with access to a private garden and pool.

We were all exhausted and unclean after a long drive, so we all decided to have a nice shower/ bath before head out to restaurant we booked advance called Fresh for dinner.
